Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery plans to make a decision on his future in the next ten days.

Ribery’s Bayern deal expires in 2011 but, if he does not commit himself to the Bundesliga outfit, there is little chance of them holding on to him for the final 12 months of his contract and then allowing him to walk away for free.

He hinted last month he would favour a move to Spain if he opted to leave Bavaria, but insisted no decision had been taken. Ribery claims he has still not made up his mind but plans to do so in the near future.

Asked by German television channel Sport1 whether he had a concrete offer from a club on the table, he replied: “No. There is at this time no club who say that I will come or to whom I am going.

“Real Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea are still interested in me and they want me to play for them. We have still some games to play and little recovery time. Therefore I believe that I will determine in the very near future what I will do next year.” Pushed as to when, specifically, he said: “I hope in the next week or in the next ten days.”

Ribery wants a five-year contract but insisted last month economic security would not be the only factor in his decision, with his wife keen to move to sunny climes. He will listen to what Bayern have to offer in the near future before reaching his decision.

“I will have talks with the club leadership and with my agent,” he said. “And as I already said, in a week or ten days, when the talks have been held, I will know what the situation is.”

Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness believes the club face a “brutal struggle” to keep hold of Franck Ribery.

The France winger is the hottest property in the Bundesliga and has been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Manchester City.

“Our goal is to hold on to Franck with all our might,” Hoeness told the Bild newspaper. “But it will be a brutal struggle.

“Enquiries about him will come in. Therefore the most important thing will be that we don’t waver and announce clearly that we are keeping him. Otherwise uncertainty comes in and his agent senses his chance.

“But if we keep our clear position until August 31, when the transfer window closes, then afterwards we can try to extend his contract beyond 2011.”

Hoeness, who leaves his own role with Bayern in the summer, believes Ribery’s agent is keen for his client to move away from the Allianz Arena, even though the Frenchman is settled there.

He added: “He still has a two-year contract here without clauses. And he and his family feel at home here. In my opinion only the lack of hope for an international title can change his mind about a transfer. But I don’t see this lack of hope.

“That his advisors are maybe interested in a transfer, that is clear to me. Advisors earn generally only through transfers, not if a player stays year after year at the same club. And they certainly want to continue to earn. We have to be aware of that.”

Despite a difficult start to the season, Bayern are still in the hunt for both the Bundesliga title and are through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

France kept their World Cup qualifying hopes alive when a Franck Ribery goal earned a 1-0 victory in Lithuania on Saturday.

Ribery netted in the 67th minute with a powerful 20-metre drive after being set up by Yoann Gourcuff.

France, who have a game in hand on leaders Serbia, remain third in Group Seven with seven points from four matches.

Les Bleus are two points behind Lithuania, who meet the French again in Paris on Wednesday. Serbia, 3-2 winners in Romania, have 12 points from five games.

“This win is very important for us. We all had a good match, we fought on a bad pitch,” Ribery told the French TV channel TF1.

“We had so many chances and we wanted this goal very badly. Now we have to do it again on Wednesday at the Stade de France.”

Coach Raymond Domenech said: “We dominated and we won but there will be another game in a few days. We should not gloat yet.

France international Franck Ribery has admitted that he is growing tired of all the speculation about his future.

Hardly a week goes by without the player being linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena and all the rumours are starting to annoy him.

He has once again tried to put an end to all the exit talk by telling L’Equipe: “Everyone keeps asking me about my future, they only want to talk about when I will leave.

“But it is useless because I don’t want to talk about it anymore. I am fed up.

“Staying or leaving? I don’t reply to that question anymore. I am enjoying life at Bayern and I feel fine here.”

“It was fun to watch after the second goal went in,” he said. “It was impressive the way the boys responded after the defeat by Cologne.”

Although Juventus have allegedly stepped up their chase of French ace Franck Ribery, the Bavarians tactician has insisted that he is confident that his side’s prized asset will remain in Germany.

According to rumours in Italy, Juventus directors are already in the process of drawing up their summer shopping list and Bayern Munich attacking midfielder Franck Ribery is allegedly one of their primary targets.

The Old Lady are scouring the transfer market to find a replacement for Czech dynamo Pavel Nedved, who is set to hang up his boots at the end of the season, and the 25-year-old French international seems to fit the bill.

However, Bayern coach Juergen Klinsmann has reiterated that both the club and the player are unfazed by all the paper talk.

“I am not afraid because I know that Franck is happy at Bayern,” the ex-Inter striker is quoted as saying on Alice.it.

“If other clubs are interested in him, it’s because of how well he is performing with us. He is a unique player, and I am confident that he will remain with us for a long time.”

Ribery joined the Bundesliga champions from Olympique de Marseille in the summer of 2007 for a fee of €25 million.

The French superstar has confirmed that he is not on the verge of joining Real Madrid.

The future of Franck Ribery has been an interesting story over the past twelve months, and despite everything that has happened and all that has been said, he has remained loyal to his current club, Bayern Munich.

The French international has been linked to a number of clubs over time, with the most recent being Real Madrid. These rumours were confirmed by Franz Beckenbauer, who stated that it would be an option if the player himself really wanted to make the move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

In response to these comments, the midfielder has declared that the speculations are untrue, and that he has no intentions of joining the Spanish giants anytime soon.

“I have never thought about leaving Bayern Munich,” Ribery assured in an interview reported by Tuttomercatoweb.

“I am very happy in Munich, and my family is very comfortable in the city too.

“The fans love me and that is certainly an important factor for me,” he added.

“I have a contract with the club until 2011 and I want to respect it.

“Real Madrid? These are only rumors and nothing more,” he concluded.

In addition to these latest claims, Juventus may also be lining up a move for the Frenchman, as they see him as an ideal replacement for Pavel Nedved who is set to hang up the boots at the conclusion of the season.

Bayern Munich manager Uli Hoeness has slapped a mammoth €150 million price tag on Franck Ribéry after it was rumoured that Milan were looking to him as a potential replacement for Kaka.

With the crazy fee of €130 million (£120 million) being offered to AC Milan by Manchester City for Brazilian Kaka, Bayern Munich manager Uli Hoeness has issued a firm “hands off” warning regarding Franck Ribéry by stating he would cost €150 million (£140 million).

The Frenchman emerged as a potential target for the Italian side this week as Manchester City tabled their record-smashing bid for Kaka.

Even though the move has seemingly fallen through, Hoeness has spoken of the Bavarian club’s valuation of the winger.

“If Kaka is meant to be worth [€]130 million, then Franck Ribéry is worth [€]150 million,” Hoeness told Eurosport television.

“We would only perhaps start to consider selling him at a sum like this.”

“Franck wanted to have a bit of fun,” said coach Juergen Klinsmann, relieved that the prank only caused minor damage.

General manager Uli Hoeness was meanwhile left to smooth over the incident with an angry hotel management, while team-mate Tim Borowski admitted the players were slightly shaken by the unscheduled spin around the hotel on Thursday.

According to Friday’s Bild newspaper, Ribery – who is known to be something of a prankster – mounted the kerb and knocked over two signs after taking the wheel of the bus for a lap around the hotel.

Franck Ribery has renewed suspicions that he could be set for a big money move away from Bayern in the not too distant future.

Franck Ribery’s future at Bayern Munich has come under fresh scrutiny after the French superstar refused to confirm whether he would see out his contract with the Bundesliga champions.

Ribery, whose contract at the Allianz Arena until June 2011, has further enhanced his reputation as one of Europe’s premier midfielders with some virtuoso performances for Bayern, that despite missing much of the beginning of the campaign due to injury.

Naturally his displays have caught the attention of Europe’s elite, and the likes of Inter Milan and Real Madrid would be all too willing to splash cash on him should there be a clear and present opportunity.

“I have a four-year-contract. But promising that I will fulfill it? That is difficult,” said Ribery, in what could be interpreted as a ploy to get the rumor mills churning.

“I feel very happy, but that is difficult. I am open to anything. In football you never know what is going to happen,” he told the Bild newspaper, speaking from Bayern’s training camp in Dubai.

Klinsmann meanwhile also shrugged off fears that Ribery could be tempted to move before the end of his contract.

“Franck well knows what he has at Bayern,” he said.

“We have him at least until 2011,” Klinsmann said.
